InfoDay Event – FINANCING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DIGITALIZATION OF THE INDUSTRY, organized on October 12 at the ABC Incubator in Cluj-Napoca by the North-West Regional Development Agency in collaboration with Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub, brought together 40 participants mainly representing industry companies and providers of digital, automation and robotics services, members of the Industry 4.0 Working Group.
session ADMA TranS4MErs The XChange Event was addressed to companies in the industry who intend to adopt digital, robotics and automation solutions in the future. They have the opportunity to register until December 14, 2022 in the Acceleration Program to be assisted in the preparation of a Digital Transformation Plan to identify the optimal solutions suitable for their own business. In the next stage, after the evaluation of the digital transformation plans, companies will have access to a portfolio of support services for digitization, based on vouchers that will allow them to implement the measures assumed in the plan, during 2023. Members of the Digital Innovation Center Transylvania DIH, through the representatives of the Transilvan Furniture Cluster and the Transilvania IT Cluster, presented the following opportunities for financing, mobility and access to support services, through ongoing European projects.
The opportunities offered through three projects implemented by Cluster Mobilier Transilvan within some European consortia were detailed:
- BETTER FACTORY – through the open call until November 15, 2022, 9 partnerships between high-tech service providers, industrial companies and artists/designers from the creative industries will be financed with 200,000 euros
- SILEO - vouchers will soon be available dedicated to companies in the furniture and lighting industry, as well as providers of technological solutions for these industries, for participation in Hackathon-type events, for access to expertise in order to digitize production, marketing and management processes, vouchers for prototyping and testing innovative solutions as well as vouchers that will allow some students to practice in the factory
- EXCELIVING – allows the exchange of experience between companies by participating in study visits, facilitated by clusters within the ClusterXchange program. It will include travel vouchers as well as training sessions dedicated to companies in the furniture and related fields, targeting home and office automation solutions, smart city solutions and digital transformation
Transilvania IT Cluster brings to attention 3 calls with a submission deadline of November 2022, carried out as part of Horizon 2020 funded projects:
- EUHubs4Data – call open until November 9, 2022, through which providers of specialized digital solutions or interested in using Big Data they can access a 60,000 euro grant and service vouchers worth 70,000 euro, offered by the member Digital Innovation Centers (DIH);
- BonsAPPs – open call until November 2, 2022, through which small and medium-sized companies in the industry can access funding of up to 74,000 euros to implement artificial intelligence components in the process of digitizing production flows;
- I-Energy – open call until December 12, 2022, companies in the industry can apply to optimize their energy consumption by accessing 100,000 euros, together with a technology provider, for testing artificial intelligence solutions.
Through the network Enterprise Europe Network, ADR Nord-Vest and the Transilvania IT Cluster facilitate access to financing opportunities for interested companies.
A selection of calls opened at the European level were briefly presented, such as:
- Eureka Innowwide – open call until November 15, 2022, finances market studies for innovative companies with a view to internationalization on markets in Africa, South America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East – allows testing of innovation from a technical, commercial or socio-economic point of view, through -a partnership between the company and the market research provider in the country where the internationalization is aimed.
- Innovation Factory 2022 – call open until November 30, 2022 through EIT Digital – provides financial assistance for the launch and respectively development of technology startups in order to attract private investors and investment funds.
- MIND4MACHINES – project implemented by ADR Nord-Vest within a European consortium – a summary of call I was presented together with the results of the first call – call II will open in February 2023 and targets partnerships between digital, robotics and automation service providers and industry firms, who can access up to EUR 120,000 for Industry 4.0 solutions.
Recently launched in public consultation, the program for the adoption of digital technologies by SMEs [Digitization Program for SMEs], to be financed through the PNRR, was analyzed from the perspective of the requirements and the evaluation grid. The observations will be centralized at the level of the Industry 4.0 group and submitted by the beginning of November, the deadline.
Industry 4.0 working group, initiated by Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub, is open to companies and research organizations interested in opportunities for business development and the degree of innovation.
