Mister. Gheorghe Buda, the mayor of the city of Şomcuta Mare (Maramureş), signed on December 5, 2019 the financing contract for the project "Increasing the energy efficiency of residential blocks in the city of Şomcuta Mare", SMIS code 121696, within the POR 2014-2020, Axa Priority 3 – Supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy, Investment Priority 3.1 – “Supporting energy efficiency, intelligent energy management and the use of energy from renewable sources in public infrastructure, including public buildings, and in the housing sector” , Operation A – Residential buildings.
The aim of the project is to support energy efficiency, intelligent energy management and the use of energy from renewable sources in public infrastructures, including public buildings, and in the housing sector, especially those with high energy consumption.
Specific objectives:
- increasing the energy efficiency of a number of seven housing blocks built between 1950-1990, located in the city of Şomcuta Mare, Maramures county;
- the decrease of the specific energy consumption for heating below 100 kWh/m2/year in 135 apartments, located in the seven blocks of flats;
- decrease in annual primary energy consumption by 1379347.57 kWh/year
- decrease in the estimated annual level of greenhouse gases by 465.99 tons of CO2 equivalent.
The project implementation period is 66 months, between 01.04.2016 – 30.09.2021.
Total value: 4,705,825.49 lei, of which non-refundable financial support from the European Regional Development Fund 2,338,072.69 lei.
