The STP project was financed from the Interreg IVC Program, its main objective being to support the development of the knowledge-based economy by creating and consolidating structures that promote innovation among SMEs - respectively the Science and Technology Parks (PST) and by the targeted promotion of activities Research. These parks have the mission of putting businesses in contact with research activities, mediating the transfer of technology, as well as stimulating innovative activities according to the needs of the business environment.

The project designed to reduce the gap with Central and Western Europe was based on the transfer of best practices, methodology and management related to business and research support structures to regions in Bulgaria, Greece and Romania under the guidance of the Walqa Technology Park in the Region Aragon, Spain.
