Half-yearly meeting of the Regional Committee of Representatives of the SME Organics project
On March 16, 2017, the second meeting of the Regional Committee of Representatives of the SME Organics project took place, which brings together 35 organizations, companies and public authorities active in the ecological sector, such as: AFIR, APIA, county agricultural directorates, bodies of ecological inspection and certification, local action groups (LAG) from all the counties of the region, universities, research institutes, clusters, the National Federation of Organic Agriculture (FNAE), the Association of Organic Farmers in Romania (BIOTERRA), other associations active in the food industry, IT companies that support online marketing as well as producers, processors and traders of ecological products from the North-West Region.
The meeting was dedicated to the transfer of good practices acquired by the committee members who participated in the work visits from the partner regions of Navarra in Spain and Puglia in Italy, with the analysis of the feasibility of adopting and adapting similar solutions in Romania, in support of companies/farms that carry out activity in the BIO sector, of ecologically certified products.
The analysis-diagnosis of the regional ecological sector, in a national and European context, was completed by the parallel sessions of the workshop aimed at SWOT analysis and the identification of supporting measures and solutions, on the components: production and processing, sales and marketing, training and consultancy, good governance and public policy.

ADR Nord-Vest is a partner in the SME Organics project - Increasing the competitiveness of SMEs active in industries that use ecological materials and products, financed by the European territorial cooperation program INTERREG Europe. The project takes place between April 1, 2016 - March 31, 2020 and aims to develop Regional Action Plans (Organic Action Plans) for each of the partner regions, based on diagnostic analyzes developed with the support of the Regional Committees of Representatives and the transfer of good practices at the level of initiatives, measures and strategies of the member regions in the consortium.
