Based on the powers conferred by the Regional Development Law (315/2004), the North-West Regional Development Agency initiates or participates as a partner in various projects with non-reimbursable financing in order to support the objectives of the regional development policy and to fulfill the priorities established by the Development Plan of the Region.

The projects implemented in recent years, financed mainly from European Union Initiatives or European Territorial Cooperation Programs, focused on supporting areas of regional excellence, emphasizing the support of the economic environment, but also on the development of human resources. Also, also within the framework of some of its own projects, the Agency participates in the European networks: Enterprise Europe Network and the Network of Europe Direct Information Centers.
